1. About this policy
ZED Delivery ("ZED", "we", "us", or "our") is a self-serve courier service operating in Kelowna and the Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada. We provide local pickup and delivery of items booked and paid for through our website. This document forms part of our agreement with you. We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
2. Information we collect
- Contact details — your name, mobile number, and email address.
- Delivery details — pickup and drop-off addresses, item descriptions, optional photos, listing links, and delivery notes you provide.
- Account information — if you create an account: your email and a securely hashed password, plus your saved profile.
- Payment information — when paying or saving a card, our payment processor handles your card. We store only your card brand, the last four digits, and a secure token — never your full card number.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as your browser type and interactions needed to operate the site. Your login session and bookings may be stored locally in your browser.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, price, schedule, and complete your deliveries.
- To send you booking confirmations and delivery status updates by text message and email, and account verification codes.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our service, and to meet legal obligations.
4. Text messages
When you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive transactional text messages about your deliveries and account. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Terms for details.
5. Service providers we share with
We share information only with the providers that help us run the service, and only as needed to do so:
- Payment processing (e.g. Stripe) — to charge for deliveries.
- Messaging & customer management (e.g. GoHighLevel) — to send your texts and emails and manage your bookings.
- Mapping & addresses (e.g. Google Maps) — for address lookup and distance/pricing.
- Image hosting (e.g. Cloudinary) — to store photos you attach to a booking.
- Website hosting & automation (e.g. Netlify, n8n) — to run the site and process bookings.
These providers may process data outside British Columbia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where required by law.
6. Retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service, support you, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then dispose of it securely. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices & rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual limits) by emailing support@zerodelivery.ca. You may unsubscribe from texts by replying STOP. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC Information and Privacy Commissioner with concerns.
8. Children
Our service is intended for adults (19+ in British Columbia). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
